Born as princess of the Ra royal family, Wynter’s parents were killed under mysterious circumstances when she was a child. A man known as the Count gained control over the empire, and forced a young Wynter to pray to the Solar Obelisk in order to increase its Light Energy output. This put a lot of strain on her and she begins to lose her Solar powers. She has gone rogue as an adult and actively opposes the Holy Ra Empire, and the abuse of Light Energy.

COUNT HORVEK

TYRANT

Genius scientist who broke the boundaries of Light Energy usage and created machines that were too powerful for their own good, but was banished to the Impasse. To get revenge he returned with an army of robots and monsters who he manipulated with his genius. He authoritatively rules over Ra now in place of an actual emperor.

NUON

PALADIN

His true origins are unknown, but Nuon was able to gain the trust of Count Horvek, and serves as a tutor to young Wynter.

Synopsis

TAKE A STAND AGAINST THE LIGHT

The people rejected Dark Energy as part of the natural order, but now Light runs amok. As the world faces it's final days, three heroes must deliver a message of hope to the future that may undo the destruction of the past.

Dark & Light Energy

The fundamental forces that make up the Universe, although, Dark Energy is heavily stigmatized.

Veyne

Goddess once believed to have created Planet Eris and Humans.

Eris

Earth-like planet orbiting the sun, Ra

Veyne's Observatory

Ancient satellite that once served as a shrine. Accessing it is strictly forbidden by the Empire. It is considered the closest place one can get to the Sun safely.

Solar Obelisks

Mysterious machines responsible for channeling energy from the sun, and controlling Light Energy in the Solar System.

Duality Institute

Institution founded by Saruna to study and teach the science and magic of Light and Dark Energy.

Holy Conservatory

An old Imperial institution that strictly teaches Light Energy and condemns all forms of Dark Energy.

Ra

The name of the Sun, the Empire, and the City of Light.

The Impasse

The barbarian lands far outside the control of the Empire. People normally do not return, except for the Count and his army.

Pearls

Crystallized fragments of pure energy. Pearls are both currency and power source in the world of Solar Requiem.

BATTLE SYSTEM

“Character Focus Time Battle”

Inspired by Final Fantasy’s Active Time Battle. Specifically games like FF4, Lightning Returns FFXIII, and FF7 Remake.

Alternate your focus between 3 playable characters. Strategize whose ATB to use and when.

Each ability drains the ATB gauge partially.

Attack in rapid succession to build chains and stagger enemies.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER & DEVELOPER

AlexPixels (Alex Smith)

Alex began his game development journey in high school, but eventually settled on design in the tech industry as a career path after graduating with a BFA in Communication Design. After sometime in the tech industry he began rekindle his love for pixel art and game development. Now he runs a freelance practice spanning web design, pixel art, and much more!

The funding of this project hasn't been decided yet, but so far moslty everything is created by Alex himself.
